Miss England

60 finalists from all over the country came together at Athena over 2 days to compete for the title of Miss England and the chance to become Miss World. Athena hosted a freshly prepared gala dinner for the 400 judges, sponsors and audience who were treated to a night of glamour and entertainment including a performance from Andy Abraham.

Athena provided a bespoke catwalk for the event with the event being attended by members of various different press organizations. The new Miss England jetted off directly to Mauritius with our very own Miss Leicester winning Miss England Got Talent!

Miss England organisers said:

“Having staged the Miss England finals at the Athena in Leicester for two years back in 2006 & 2007. Leicester is such a central location for all of our area winners and organisers to reach and many of our guests have commented on what a great venue the Athena really is and how much they enjoyed the event there. It has everything we need to put on a good show - stage, lights sound and the facilities for a dinner and theatre style seating upstairs to suit our audience which creates a great atmosphere for everyone.

“I brought the Miss England final back to the Athena in June 2012 because I know the Athena is a venue I can trust to work with me to put on a successful event. I think that says everything really. I look forward to working with Sandeep and his team again.”
